Is my piece worth restoring?
Yes, if it is part of a set, part of your family heritage, fits and looks good in your home, is truly an antique (100 years), or if it is a piece of good quality furniture. At The Restoration Society, we complete work that a client wants us to do, regardless of age.
Will restoring my piece hurt the value?
Each item has to be evaluated separately and either restored or conserved reversible manner. We use our experience to carefully perform work that will increase or preserve the value of your items.
I have a set of missing pieces. What can be done?
In most cases, The Restoration Society can fabricate missing elements and provide custom-made items to enhance or complete your furniture set.
Can you match the color of a finish to another item?
We have the capabilities and skill to create our colors in-house. We pride ourselves on our skilled staff and their artistic ability to match colors and finishes.
Do you repair furniture?
Absolutely. The repair can be as simple as re-gluing a chair, matching a decorative element, or re-creating an intricate carving for a large-scale project.
Can my item/items be completed by a certain date?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a date the work will be complete. Each job is different and specific, and it is often difficult to determine an exact timeframe. We ask for your patience and understanding in this matter. When your project is complete, we will call you and also mail a notice to you. It is our goal to satisfy your needs.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. We also offer payment plans and same-as-cash plans.
Do you offer free estimates?
Free estimates are offered to our customers on Monday, Friday, and Saturday in our store. Although we may be able to give you an idea of the cost over the phone, it is highly recommended that you visit us in person in order to receive an accurate estimate.
My item is large. Do I have to bring it in to receive an estimate?
We understand that your item may be quite bulky. If possible, bring along a drawer or a portion of the item. If this is not feasible, please feel free to call us for more information.
Do you do "Insurance Work?"
If your treasured piece endured a disaster, we are happy to work with you and your insurance company to restore your item to the best of our ability.
Do you offer pick-up and delivery?
Pick-up and delivery services are available. Fees may apply. Please call for information and scheduling.
